About
Vivianne has a degree in biology from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, a state in the Central region of Brazil, where she was also born. She finished her Master’s degree in Ecology and Conservation in 2006 at the same university, studying environmental issues and nature conservation in the Pantanal, the world’s largest tropical wetland.
Since 2009, she has worked at the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (IBAMA) as an environmental analyst, in Amapá state in the northern Brazilian Amazon. Her work seeks to ally environmental preservation with sustainable development via the environmental licensing process in Brazil.
